Minden Christmas Tour of Homes

Minden, LA-  The Downtown Merchants Association will host the Christmas Tour of Homes on December 3, 2016. One of the homes on the tour is Huffman House Bed and Breakfast. The Huffman House B&B is located in downtown Minden at 1108 Broadway St. This Federal style home was built in 1918 and features five bedrooms six baths and a wonderful pool with sunning deck, pool house and covered entertaining area. This holiday season the home will Display four breathtaking Christmas trees. The exterior of the home we’ll be brightly lit with over 30,000 twinkling white lights. Keeping in stepped with Mindin’s 100 life-sized nutcrackers the Huffman House exterior displays features two nutcracker drummers at the entrance of the home as well as one 7 foot nutcracker on display in the front yard.

The Christmas historic tour homes will feature several of Minden’s historic homes all decked out for the season. The tour will start at 6 PM and go until 9 PM with an admissions cost of $10 for the tour. This fee covers all the homes on the tour. Earlier in the day (Dec. 3rd) you can enjoy the Christmas parade along with photo opportunities with Santa and the Grinch. The historic area of Minden as well as the downtown Area features multiple light displays and is one of the key attractions for the Louisiana Trail of Lights. Not only does Mindin Display lights throughout the area but every Lamp post is wrapped with garland and lights. The churches in this historic area of Minden also go all out to show their community support.
